The industrial market is a broad market with a broad set of requirements and standards. Amphenol CTI has developed the required supply chain for connectors, wire, and tooling which when combined with our manufacturing footprint enables us to produce highly effective solutions with the agility required to meet customers prototype and production schedules. Although we break out and focus further on some industrial subgroups this industry category includes customers producing robotic equipment, monitoring equipment, power generation equipment, process and sorting equipment.
Heavy Equipment
The heavy equipment market is a subset of Industrial where we at Amphenol CTI have a considerable focus. We have many key customers in this industry including forestry, agriculture, construction, and mining. We have developed both engineering and manufacturing knowledge around the unique requirements for this industry which include harsh environment as well as mid to high complexity harnesses (circuit count/branch count). For this market we produce a range of harness types for chassis, cab, engine, and various modular harnesses. We also provide cables for DC power distribution.

Rail
Amphenol CTI has invested heavily in the ability to service the North American rail industry. The submarkets we are active in include Rolling stock, Trackside Controls, and Wayside Controls. ACTI produce harnesses, cables, panels and electromechanical assemblies for locomotive, passenger rail and rail infrastructure applications.

Recreational & Industrial Vehicles
Amphenol CTI has participated in the recreational and industrial vehicle market for many years. This is a unique industry with fluctuating demand which requires systems and processes to be able to react and adjust to the demand cycles. Over the years we have developed expertise specifically around chassis, dashboard, and HVAC control system harnesses. House wiring is often done as part of the final transportation vehicle manufacturing process. Harnesses for this market are often built to the Can Bus or J-1939 standard requiring specific processes and handling. We build Tag and Non-Tag axle harness assemblies which include ABS cable assemblies for different valve applications.
Automotive
Amphenol CTI is primarily a supplier to the tier 2 automotive market. We are IATF 16949 certified (in Mexico) and provide cables and harnesses into the automotive subcomponent/ subsystem market. In addition, we supply interconnect solutions into the automotive aftermarket.

The ATM, Banking, Point of Sale (POS), and Self Check Out (SCO) market is one that we have supported for many years with its requirements for global support and a broad range of volume requirements. This market requires some unique material requirements with harness connections to biometric sensors and card readers. Although some of the requirements in this industry are somewhat unique, they are very similar across the OEMs who supply the hardware for this industry allowing us to leverage our global footprint and supply chain to provide competitive interconnect solutions.
Kiosks
The Kiosk market is a growing market that is being applied across many businesses as an effort to introduce convenience to the consumer including an expanding use as self-serve vending machines. Kiosks are being used to access goods or services across many types of business and they utilize cables and harnesses in a very similar form to the ATM and self-checkout market. This is a very large market where Amphenol is very active. We at Amphenol CTI supply cables and harnesses into the telecom and high-tech market supporting the video broadcast and video projection markets as well as overmold products for power and signal transmission for rack mount equipment in the datacom / telecom market.
We offer custom overmold solutions for pcb to front panel applications as well as for fanout or breakout requirements.
